EMERGENCIES |
|
- Water Main Break - depending on the severity
of the leak, a water main break could possibly
drain the distribution system of water and necessitate
our need to issue a “Boil Water Notice”.
Therefore, customers are urged to report a
possible leak on a water main immediately to the
water system or, if after hours, to the
Sheriff’s Department. Please be prepared to give
an address for where the leak is occurring.
- Low Pressure - customers who are experiencing
unusually low pressure in their service lines
should report the situation to the water system,
or, if after hours, to the Sheriffs Department.
Low pressure in a service line could be the
result of many things to include a possible
broken water main, broken service lines to the
residence in question or mechanical failure at
the treatment facilities.
- Discolored Water - customers who are
experiencing discolored water should report
their problem to the water system or, if after
hours, to the Sheriffs Department. As with low
pressure, dirty water may be the result of a
broken water main, broken service line, or
mechanical failure at the treatment facilities.
- Taste or Odor Complaints - Water with an
unusual odor or taste should be reported
immediately to the water system or, if after
hours, to the Sheriffs Department. Mechanical
failure at the treatment facility would be the
main source of these types of complaints but it
could also be indicative of a water main that
needs flushing.
